From: Brown, Karen [mailto:kbrown@ci.charlotte.nc.us]Hi all; Many of us in the past have asked Ann of Sandhill Beagles to help us with rescuing a beagle or two. It's time now to pay her back with a little help for 3 new mama beagles she's taken in who need lots of help. Can you help by chipping in, AND forwarding to others you know who would be happy to help and network for Ann to make a happy life for these mamas and their kids. Thanks a bunch, and here are the little sweetie's stories. Please help Trixie, Mattie and Lettie, 3 beautiful and now very lucky Beagle moms. Trixie was pregnant and had to have a C-section the day after we rescued her from the shelter. She was spayed AFTER she had 7 little ones. Trixie is HW negative and UTD on shots, but all her vetting tops $600.00. We still owe the Vet, and we need your help.Donations can be called to the Vet at: 252-823-1177.Mattie was a stray Beagle in Walstonburg, NC. She'd had 4 pups on the ground under a jeep, and the callers said they wouldn't feed her (look at her back bone!), as they didn't want her there. She was full of fleas and ticks. We saved Mattie by feeding her puppy food and scrambled eggs, as she was thin and malnourished, and needed extra protein to produce enough milk to feed the pups. Please pray she is heartworm negative when she is tested. She too will need to be fully vetted when she's a bit more healthy.
Lettie was rescued from Chester, SC. Although she is heartworm negative, she's pregnant and about to have the little ones.We don't know who the dad is, so we are hoping she will be able to have them without trouble.Lettie also will require full vetting once the pups are weaned. If you can find a place in your heart to help one or all of these wonderful mama's, we would be forever appreciative, and we'll keep you updated on their progress, promise!
